Clear Creek is a proposed single-family neighborhood near 86th Terrace and Clare Road on land zoned agricultural. In February 2026 the Lenexa Planning Commission recommended approval of the rezoning to planned residential and the preliminary plan, and it moved to the City Council for final consideration.
Nearby residents raised concerns about loss of parkland and wetlands, traffic on Clare Road, crowded schools, property values and density that did not match large-lot neighborhoods. Supporters, including dozens of Johnson County faith leaders, argued for affordable home ownership and inclusive communities.
