Olathe approved the final phase of the Stonebridge Pointe subdivision, the Cedar Creek Marketplace grocery-anchored commercial project, the rezoning of over 60 acres into the Cedar Creek District and the Solomon's Porch assisted living project. It also reviewed placing the 1938 downtown post office on the historic register.
The Cedar Creek District consolidates over 60 acres of fragmented zoning near College Boulevard and Cedar Creek Parkway into one flexible district that allows mixed-use, residential and commercial development. There is no specific project yet; future projects still go through site plan and architectural review.
Olathe finishes neighborhoods in phases with infrastructure in place and sets zoning frameworks before projects arrive. That gives developers predictability and supports long-term property values and stable absorption.
